Happy Surger-versary to me! Can’t believe a year ago the excruciating pain I was trying to “just deal with”. Thank you to my Sissy for telling me to get my tail to the ER; thank you Danielle for dropping your plans to go the ER with me, staying with me through all my tests for hours, even up until they wheeled me back, and being there to take me home the next morning. My beautiful parents who booked the next flight to NY. I can never thank them enough for immediately coming to take care of me. Everyone who prayed with me+for me. Thank you to my friends who were upset I didn’t tell them about my emergency surgery until I had recovered😭who just wanted to make sure I was okay. As I’ve learned to trust my intuition, I’ve learned to trust my BODY. Listen to your body. Love your body. You only get one.🧠 #theresnouterusemoji #theuterusisthesecondbrain #endometriosis

This year I had incredible mentors & made fruitful connections, amazing new friends who keep me in check with such love & grace, had friend reunions over celebrations, and took many a risk in faith with many rewards. Published great writing with beautiful editors, including my first theater essay. Spent the last month.5 home with family, which I needed so so much. Learned, learned, learned some more. I’m v grateful + proud & excited to live what’s coming next✨🙌🏾
